VIP Computer Systems, Inc. is privately owned by Jim Hall, a registered pharmacist and a 1967 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy.
Jim began his professional career as a pharmacist in 1968 at Mann's Drug Store in High Point NC. His practical experience includes 2 years of duty as a small chain pharmacist, 2 years of graduate school, 5 years of relief work at various independent pharmacies, and 6 years of hospital pharmacy work at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
In 1983, Jim began working as a sales person for a local company selling and marketing pharmacy software. Two years later, Jim left to launch VIP Computer Systems, Inc. with Dick Thompson, a program developer experienced in pharmacy software development. Dick and Jim used their respective expertise to create a user-friendly pharmacy software package which has grown into the VIP Pharmacy Management System in use today.
Built on the importance of supporting and growing local businesses, VIP continues to operate completely independently. We're still North Carolina's only locally based pharmacy software company, and we're committed to giving our users the same familiar, quality service that they give their customers.
